Kerta Gosa, Klungkung
Break the journey approximately one hour after departing Bisma Cottages Ubud with a stop in Klungkung, a former royal centre of Bali.
Visit Kerta Gosa, the historic court pavilion within the former palace complex. Its ceiling features intricate Kamasan style paintings depicting karma and the consequences of human actions. Your guide will explain the stories behind these striking scenes, bringing the artwork and its cultural meaning to life.

Klungkung Market
Explore a spacious market where old and new shopping areas sit alongside each other. Browse beautiful Balinese fabrics, ceremonial clothing and gold jewelry, then discover stalls selling fruit, vegetables, herbs, spices, flowers and everyday essentials.
A food court offers local dishes and snacks to eat there or take away. We enjoy this market because it is not crowded and local sellers are not pushy.
Sidemen Rice Field Walk
Continue to Sidemen for a leisurely walk along a flat rice field track. Spend approximately 45 minutes enjoying the valley views, breathing in the fresh air and stopping for photographs.
Anandini Organic Garden and Kitchen
By now, you will have worked up an appetite. Lunch is at Anandini Organic Garden and Kitchen, where the vegan menu includes fresh ingredients grown in the garden.
A garden tour is included, giving you a closer look at locally grown fruit, vegetables and herbs and where some of your lunch ingredients will come from.
Our tip: Try a refreshing granita and leave room for the chocolate lava cake.

Jagasatru Waterfall
Finish your sightseeing with a visit to Jagasatru Waterfall. Viewpoints along the approach reveal panoramic scenery stretching to the sea, while a huge gold statue of Brahma stands on the hill.
Pause to enjoy the views or buy a drink from a local seller before heading down approximately 150 steps to the waterfall. Swimming is possible and wet shoes and towels are provided.
