Is it easy to walk around Ubud from Bisma Cottages?

Yes. Bisma Cottages is located in Jalan Bisma, one of Ubud’s most popular accommodation areas.

It is approximately a 15 minute walk to Ubud Palace, Ubud Market and Campuhan Ridge Walk, and only five minutes to Ubud Monkey Forest.

Our Bisma Street Guide also recommends nearby restaurants, cafés, spas, shops and convenience stores.

Why does Bisma Cottages offer Special Interest Ubud Holiday Packages ?

At Bisma Cottages, we want your Ubud holiday to be relaxing, enjoyable and stress free. Over the years, we’ve often seen visitors spending hours researching activities and organising transport after they arrive, when they should be enjoying the beautiful surroundings of Ubud.

Are there yoga studios within walking distance of Bisma Cottages?

Yes. Five yoga studios are within walking distance of Bisma Cottages, including the world-famous Yoga Barn and our favourite local studio, Ubud Yoga House.

Do Solo Travelers get a discount when they stay at Bisma Cottages Ubud.

Yes, Solo Travelers receive discounted room only rates and there are special packages for solo travelers.

Are twin beds available at Bisma Cottages Ubud?

Yes. Twin beds are available in our One Bedroom Cottage with two single beds. Our Deluxe Cottage can also be configured with one Queen Bed and a Sofa Bed. If you require twin beds, please request this when making your booking.

Does Bisma Cottages have family accommodation?

Yes. Bisma Cottages offers two room types designed for families.

Our Deluxe Cottage is ideal for families with children under 10 years and can accommodate up to two adults and three children.

Our Two Bedroom Cottage is better suited to families travelling with older children, tweenagers or teenagers and can accommodate up to two adults and four children.

At Bisma Cottages we have made exploring Ubud easier with our Special Family Packages. Choose from Family Fun Package for families with children under 10 years or Family Adventure Package for families with older children. We can also customize packages for families that want to include different activities and experiences.

Is Bisma Cottages suitable for couples?

Yes. Bisma Cottages is a peaceful boutique property popular with couples looking for a quieter side of Ubud while wanting to stay close to town centre. Deluxe Cottage is recommended room category for couples as it is larger, more private and has ricefield view. 

Does Bisma Cottages offer a Floating Breakfast?

Yes. A Floating Breakfast is included in selected Special Interest Ubud Holiday Packages and is also complimentary for guests staying four nights or more.

Guests staying at Bisma Cottages can also book a Floating Breakfast as an optional extra. We also welcome outside guests who would like to enjoy a private Floating Breakfast experience at our beautiful pool.

Are there many stairs at Bisma Cottages?

No. There are no stairs within the property grounds.

There are three steps to enter our One and Two Bedroom Cottages and two steps to enter the Deluxe Cottage.

Inside the One and Two Bedroom Cottages there is one step down into the bathroom. The Deluxe Cottage has no internal steps, making it our most accessible room type.

Can cars access Bisma Cottages?

Yes. Cars can easily access Bisma Cottages and complimentary parking is available for guests.

Can Bisma Cottages arrange airport transfers, drivers, tours and activities?

Yes. We can arrange private airport transfers, experienced local drivers, day tours and authentic Balinese cultural experiences throughout Ubud and surrounding areas.

We recommend prebooking airport transfers and popular tours to ensure you are paired with experienced local drivers and guides who know the Ubud area well.

How do I book Bisma Cottages?

We have chosen not to list Bisma Cottages with the major online booking websites since 2019 because of their high commissions and inflexible conditions.

Booking directly allows us to provide more personalised service from your initial enquiry and throughout your stay. Contact us directly via website pop up or contact us and we will help check room availability, confirm room only and package prices and book any transport or tours required.

Do you have Wi-Fi suitable for working remotely?

Yes. Complimentary high-speed WiFi is available throughout the property and is suitable for remote work, video calls and general internet use. Deluxe Cottage is best room for guests who work remotely as it has a large dining table that can be used as a desk and offers more privacy.

Does Bisma Cottages have a swimming pool?

Yes. Guests can relax in our swimming pool surrounded by beautiful tropical gardens after a day exploring Ubud.

Why stay on Jalan Bisma ?

Yes. Jalan Bisma is one of Ubud’s most popular accommodation streets because it offers a quieter atmosphere than the busy town centre while remaining within easy walking distance of Ubud’s main attractions.

Many guests enjoy staying here because they can easily walk to restaurants, cafés, yoga studios and attractions such as Ubud Palace, Ubud Market, Monkey Forest and Campuhan Ridge Walk.

Can I walk to restaurants from Bisma Cottages?

Yes. There are many restaurants, cafés, coffee shops and local warungs within a few minutes’ walk of Bisma Cottages. Our Bisma Street Guide includes our favourite recommendations.

Is Bisma Cottages suitable for older guests?

Yes. The property has no stairs throughout the gardens, making it easier to move around than many Ubud properties. While there are a small number of steps into some cottages, our Deluxe Cottage has no internal steps and is often the preferred option for older guests.

Does Bisma Cottages Ubud offer monthly rates.

Yes, there is a 50% room rate discount for monthly stays.

When are low season room rates available at Bisma Cottages ?

Low season room only rates are available from 1 November 2026 to 25 December 2026 and 1 February 2027 to 15 March 2027.

How many nights should I stay in Ubud?

We recommend staying at least three nights to experience Ubud and the surrounding region without feeling rushed. Our list of Best Things to Do in Ubud has over 60 activities.

If you are arriving after a long international flight, consider adding an extra night to recover from jet lag before exploring.

Is Ubud Monkey Forest safe?

Yes. Ubud Monkey Forest is safe to visit and trained keepers are located throughout the sanctuary to assist visitors.

The monkeys are naturally curious rather than aggressive, particularly if they think you have food. We recommend not bringing food into the sanctuary or attempting to feed the monkeys.

What are the best restaurants in Jalan Bisma?

Some of our favourites include Chora Fine Dining, Warung Ning, Little Talks Café, ShamanaMama Café, Ikigai Japanese Restaurant and Café des Artistes.

Is Ubud suitable for families?

Yes. Ubud is one of Bali’s best destinations for families, offering adventure activities, waterfalls, rice terraces, wildlife parks, cultural performances and outdoor experiences suitable for children of all ages.

Many families choose Ubud because it provides easy access to nature and authentic Balinese culture.

Is Ubud good for yoga and wellness?

Yes. Ubud is recognised worldwide as Bali’s centre for yoga, wellness and holistic healing. Visitors can choose from yoga studios, meditation experiences, traditional Balinese healing, day spas, sound healing and other wellness modalities throughout Ubud area.

Is Ubud better than Seminyak or Canggu?

It depends on the type of holiday you are looking for.

If you enjoy beaches, beach clubs and nightlife, Seminyak or Canggu may be better suited.

If you prefer nature, waterfalls, rice terraces, Balinese culture, wellness and adventure activities, Ubud is the ideal destination. Many visitors choose Ubud and a beach destination such as Seminyak, Canggu or Sanur to stay during their Bali holiday.
