Helpful Tips About Mt Batur Sunrise Trek.
- The moderate, 1717m climb will take approx. 2 hours and is doable for anyone with a medium fitness.
- We do not recommend this trek for children under 12 years, pregnant ladies, elderly, people with leg injuries or poor cardio fitness. However there is no need to miss out on Bali’s best sunrise. An alternative Mt Batur Sunrise Tour is available HERE
- Mt Batur Trek can be booked for any day. Interestingly the weather in this Kintamani area is different to Ubud and other areas in Bali. So even if Ubud and the south has been raining it is highly unlikely that rain will be in Kintamani. However during the dry season in Bali, April to October there is a better chance of a cloud free sunrise. Wet season weather can cause parts of the track to become slippery.
- There are several reputable local tour companies offering guided treks to Mount Batur, but it is important to know are you booking a group or private sunrise trek.
- We recommend staying in Ubud, so not such an early start compared to the southern tourist areas. See our recommended Mt Batur VIP Package HERE
