Good place to go to keep the kids entertained and very easy walk from Bisma Cottages.

Fine Dining

To treat yourself to Ubuds best dining experience you must have lunch or dinner at Bridges. The beautiful setting is why most choose to dine here but you will leave being Wowed by their food, drinks and the beautiful Balinese service. This is not casual so wear your Bali best.

 Uma Cucina
Uma Cucina’s cuisine says Italian but we think it is Italian plus more ! . You will find delicious pastas, breads and cheeses on the menu plus an array of fab cocktails [put together by Lewis Wilkinson, a leading mixologist who currently works at the Met Bar in London!].  There is open air seating which is beautiful on a fine night or undercover in the case the weather is not so good. Room for Dessert
This place does have more than desserts. The menu is not big but all items are so tasty as they only use in season produce.  Another Will is the the owner, originally from NYC this Will came to Bali for a sea change but has ended up in Ubud. You will probably meet him as he usually comes to say hello to all guests. Amazing fish and Amazing desserts – of course !

Café de Artistes
Whether you are feeling like enjoying the garden terrace outside or having a comfortable seat inside, you’ll fell at home here. I would say this is more of a restaurant that a Café. A visit at night time is recommended. Here you’ll find an International menu including some Indonesian and a big European influence. Nice soup, salads, ribs plus more. One of my mums favourites.

Just out of the town centre, Indus overlooks the Tjampuhan River and enjoys a breathtaking view across the Tjampuhan ridge and surrounding hills. On a clear day, you can see Mount Agung in the east. This all-day Gastrobar has become a popular favourite in Ubud already.  Serving good food in a fun atmosphere,  Spice cleverly blends Indonesian ingredients and flavours to a Western cuisine. There are light bites that you could share tapas style plus delicious main courses. If by yourself or a party of 2 you can sit at the bar and watch the chef whip up the dishes, tables are also available that overlook Raua Ubud, the main street.

Jalan Raya Ubud No 23, Ubud, Ph. +62 (361 479 2420.

Naughty Nuri’s Ribs
Martinis or Bintang and pork ribs are the done thing at Naughty Nuri’s. Their ribs are to die for [seriously, you will be wanting to order round two!].  Their tasty BBQ sauce is lathered on the ribs before they are grilled to perfection on the BBQ… mouths watering.

Taco Casa
If you fancy a taco, burrito, enchilada, fajita or quesadilla then head to Taco Casa!  Everything is made from scratch and is sooo fresh and tasty. This is actually my favorite Mexican place to eat in the world.

Great Margaritas and Sangria. We love the Nachos Grande, Fajitas, Fiesta Salad and Wet Burrito

Uma Pizza
Such yummy food and is an absolute bargain. Pizza is spot on but their Indonesian food, pasta and chichen dishes are very good too. Alcoholic drinks are limited.  You need to book for dinner during high season. Be warned….you will get addicted to Uma Pizza. Deliver to Bisma Cottages available but we don’t recommend as they usually take more than one hour.

Cafe Pomegranate is a cafe restaurant located in the middle of the rice field within walking distance from Ubud town.  There is no car access – only motorbike and by foot. The walk is highly recommended, it is interesting and will provide many photo opportunities.  The building is unique due to the raised altitude compared to the central Ubud and disconnected from the busy main streets. It provides a 360° open view. In the morning, we can usually see Mount  Agung. One of the prime times is to see the sunset looking over the view of the rice field towards the Camphuan river.
